Language: 30 min French classes are held for our 3-5 year olds which is included in fees, children are taught basic French. This is also available for our after school club children at an additional charge.
Computer/IT: 30 min computer lessons where the children are able to have their own laptop, basic skills are taught. These sessions are optional and are an additionally charged for our 3-5 year olds.
Swimming: We have an indoor heated swimming pool and fully qualified swimming instructors. They take our very youngest children for swimming lessons which begin with developing confidence and gradually simple skills are taught, these sessions are optional and are additionally charged.
Drama: A drama group called theatre bugs come into Hatton Hill Day Nursery and offer drama classes for our 3-5 year olds, this encourages the use of children’s imagination and story telling, these classes are included in the children’s fee’s.
After School Club: We offer a collection service from 2 local schools. The children are then brought back to the club to take part in activities, indoor and outdoor and are offered tea before being collected by their parents/guardians.
Holiday Club: We are open throughout all school holidays and the after school supervisor runs a number of different sessions and activities for the group of children attending the Holiday Club with a focus for each morning and afternoon. The club is open for a full day from 8am - 6pm with three meals and 2 snacks being offered during the day.
Fitness/Football: Football sessions are available for our 2-5 year olds, the sessions last for around 30 minutes and encourages the children to develop basic skills, hand eye co-ordination and ball control, these sessions are included in the children’s fees.
Music: Our music teacher from Jo-Jingles comes to the nursery on a weekly basis to offer the children music classes. These begin from as soon as the children are able to sit up. The children thoroughly enjoy playing with various instruments and learning new songs. These are charged for in addition to nursery fees.
Creative Garden: In 2008 we developed our growing area, a good crop of vegetables was picked last year and we hope to do the same again this year. We have grown tomatoes, sweetcorn, strawberries, carrots, potatoes, and much more. The children enjoyed picking the vegetables and using their wheelbarrows to wheel their crop into the chef to use for their mealtimes. In March 2009 we had the support of Longacres who came and visited to help the children sow their seeds and plant the various crop.
Art: Each room has their own art area for the children to experiment in and develop their own masterpieces!
