Hatton Hill nursery and pre-school really helped to prepare my elder son for infant school in so many ways that I don't need to consider other options when it comes to which pre-school to send my next son too.
In my son's infant class he is the only child from Hatton Hill and he is the only one that has a good understanding of phonics.
It is evident that the gentle teaching of the EYFS, especially the phonics, helped prepare my son for infant school. He has settled into school life with an understanding of phonics that has given him a head start compared to other class members who do not really understand and are struggling. This has also given him the ability to become more relaxed and confident allowing time to explore the school curriculum and make new friends.
Hatton Hill also helped to teach him respect and independence and therefore hasn't struggled when it comes to new challenges that include eating different types of food, tidying up after himself and leaving mummy at the classroom door without the tears.
I personally feel continuation of care is so important in a young child's life, which you do get with Hatton Hill. They are gently introduced from each year group right through to pre-school, and only when the child is happy will they move totally to the new class.
And finally I think my husband¹s words sum it up "we are spoilt at Hatton Hill.”
